The remains of an old jetty found at Tenby Point standing tall in this quiet and serene location, but getting close enough to photograph the jetty is tricky as the sand or fine layer of sand is deceiving as what lies beneath is mud or more like sludge that can stop you in your tracks as you sink deeper and deeper with every step you take. Once you realise you are sinking each step becomes more and more difficult to the point where you can no longer lift up your leg and take another step. I reached that point and had to use my tripod which did not help as it too sunk so low that I was entering the danger zone. Being alone out there only heightened the danger so with much perseverance and patients I retreated and found firmer ground where I remained motionless for 2 hours. YES 2 hours as I began my series of long exposures and finally achieving my goal.
